Gay news and culture site Into does your Cincinnati weekend trip planning for you.
Into writer Miles Griffis promises that the Queen City isn’t “just for queens,” but for “sports enthusiasts, craft cocktail sippers, art buffs, neon sign adorers” and many more.
To better understand Cincinnati, he says "imagine your favorite hipster neighborhood in your city and add in the "charm that can only come from the cross stitching of Midwestern pleasantry and Southern hospitality. This is Cincinnati."
Griffis lays out an ambitious agenda on tap for a Friday-Sunday blitz tour, kicking off in scenic Smale Riverfront Park before moving to the city’s hottest new restaurant, the eclectic Sartre and ending the night with table games and drinks at Mecca OTR. The weekend includes stops for a bike ride in scenic Devou Park across the river, gourmet eggs at the Sleepy Bee Cafe, a trip to the eye-popping neon graveyard at the American Sign Museum and shopping at some chic boutiques in Over-The-Rhine.
In addition to the city’s signature ArtWorks public murals and a night at the RuPaul’s Drag Race-approved drag show at the Below Zero Lounge, Griffis has tips for museums and hotels for every pocketbook.
